Feather River Advocacy Project
Advocating for a healthy Feather River.
The Feather River Advocacy Project brings Maidu people and allies together across the Feather River Watershed to strengthen relationships with water and protect Maidu homelands. Through cultural learning, advocacy, and civic engagement, participants build the knowledge and skills to shape decisions that protect a healthy watershed for generations to come.

As a part of this project, Redbud produced, in partnership with Happy Valley Film Company, a short 30-minute film exploring the history of water engineering in the Feather River watershed, and the impacts it has had on Maidu communities. Learn more about how contemporary leaders and allies are coming together to support the health of the watershed.
